Lil B on Frank Ocean’s Boys Don’t Cry: “Frank Has the Material”

Frank Ocean called in Lil B to work on the still-elusive Boys Don’t Cry, according to a new Lil B interview in Dazed. Back in 2014, Lil B shared a picture of the pair in the studio together, captioned, “New music coming soon.” This June, he posted another pic, this one of Frank looking serene in a striped chair. But the new interview is the first confirmation that the music was recorded for Boys Don’t Cry. “Frank Ocean was amazing,” Lil B told Dazed. “He called me to come out and do some stuff for his album, Boys Don’t Cry, that’s coming out. He’s a beautiful man with a beautiful voice. He’s a very strong man, a very strong person. Anything that I can do to help him, I will.”

Asked what he can say about the album release, he replied, “If Frank releases. Let’s see what Frank releases. Frank has the material.”
