Lil Wayne's Manager Says Everything Is "Good" With Cash Money, Wayne Continues to Call Himself a "Prisoner"

Yesterday, Lil Wayne claimed that his label, Cash Money Records, was refusing to release the long delayed Tha Carter V. He also referred to himself as “a prisoner” and claimed he wanted off the label, with whom he’s been associated for his entire career.

But in a short interview with TMZ conducted outside of a club, Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant, claimed that everything is “good” with Cash Money. He says that if everything wasn’t good, he wouldn’t be at the club. (Sound logic, I think.) His answers are short and fairly aloof, but when the cameraman asks where Wayne would go, Bryant responds, “We’re here, we’re staying.” Watch the interview below.

This morning, Wayne posted a photo to his Instagram, in which he continued to call himself “a prisoner”. He also said: “I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album.”

The standing offer from Pusha T to join G.O.O.D. Music is, presumably, still on the table. As is one from Diplo.
