Listen to Merle Haggard’s Final Studio Recording, "Kern River Blues"

Country legend Merle Haggard died earlier this year due to complications from pneumonia. Ever the hard worker, Haggard continued to write and record songs during the time leading up to his death. Today, his family has shared his final song, “Kern River Blues,” as a way to thank fans for the outpouring of goodwill they received after his passing. The song was recorded this past February, and is available on Haggard’s website and iTunes. 10% of all gross proceeds from sales of the song will go towards homeless charities.
