Lush Forced to Cancel Coachella Show Due to Visa Issues
In January, Lush announced their first North American tour in 20 years. It was scheduled to begin yesterday at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, but the band had to postpone the show until April 25 “due to Visa issues.” At the time, they said “No change to other West Coast shows,” which indicated their Saturday, April 16 Coachella slot was still intact. Today, however, the band have tweeted that they will not be able to play Coachella. Their April 17 show in San Francisco has been postponed, as well. On their website, Lush have indicated they will stay play Coachella’s second weekend (April 23). See their tweets detailing the situation, as well as their updated tour itinerary below.
Lush are not the only international artists planned for Coachella who have faced visa issues. UK grime artist Skepta said, “I am not allowed in America right now,” putting his own festival status in jeopardy.
