Mac DeMarco Erects Billboard With His Bandmate’s Face on It

To celebrate the imminent release of This Old Dog, Mac DeMarco, in true Mac DeMarco style, has bought out a billboard in Los Angeles bearing the face of his bassist and percussionist, Jon Lent, apparently without telling him. On the billboard, which Mac says went up on the corner of Glendale and Berkeley, Lent is seen talking on the phone; the caption “This… is Jon Lent” has been emblazoned in the top left corner and across his forehead. Some of Mac’s captions: “#jonnydidntknow #jonnyknowsnow#bigjonny #jonnyuptop #jonnyontheboard #jonnysbigsurprise.” Check it out below, along with a reaction shot from Lent.
