French singer Melody Prochet, aka Melody’s Echo Chamber, just dropped a surprise new single. “Cross My Heart” is the first new song from the project since she released “Shirim” in 2014. Check it out below. It’s the first song from her next album Bon Voyage, which is coming this spring, her representative confirmed to Pitchfork. The album will be self-released. It was written, performed, and produced by Prochet with help from Fredrik Swahn (the Amazing), Reine Fiske (Dungen), and Gustav Ejstes (Dungen). She shared the new track on social media with the message “happy birthday;” today is Prochet’s birthday.
When Prochet shared “Shirim” in 2014, it was announced that the next Melody’s Echo Chamber album would arrive in 2015. (It didn’t.) She released her self-titled debut LP, which was produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, in 2012.
