Metz and Drive Like Jehu’s John Reis Share "Caught Up": Listen

Metz and Drive Like Jehu/Hot Snakes/Rocket From the Crypt frontman John Reis have collaborated on two songs that will be released as a 7” for Record Store Day this year. “Let It Rust” and “Caught Up,” the latter of which you can hear above, came together when Metz were on tour in San Diego. Reis booked studio time “with the hopes of capturing the glorious noise,” as a press release says. The result: “The four of them came up with two songs and now they are friends for life. The sound is reminiscent of an army of sea gulls inside a burning Benihana of Tokyo.” The release is out April 16 via Swami Records and is limited to a run of 2,000. See the cover artwork below.
