Migos Take Copycat Rappers Hostage in New "Commando" Video

The Migos are notoriously protective of their rapping style, frequently calling out rappers who bite their trademark “Migos flow.” And in the video for “Commando,” from their recent Young Rich Ni$$a$ 2 mixtape, they’re not having it anymore. The Joe Yung Spike-directed video begins with a fake news broadcast in which the reporter says, “Migos have taken hostage members of several rap groups in Atlanta who have copied their style.” A standoff and some brief negotiations ensue. They don’t, however, call anybody out by name, nor do they show the hostages’ faces. Boosie Badazz does show up for a cameo, though. Watch it below.

“Commando” is not the first time Migos have called out wannabe rappers. On “Migos Origin” from last year’s Yung Rich Nation, they detail how their sound came to be and why so many other rappers want to emulate it.

Migos are currently on the “Dab Tour” across the United States.
