Miguel Covers Rihanna’s "Kiss it Better," Checking Lyrics on His Phone: Watch
Yesterday, Miguel performed at the Spotify House as part of SXSW. During his set, he covered Rihanna’s ANTI track “Kiss it Better,” consulting his phone to check the lyrics. When asked to decode the song’s lyrics, he replied, “I don’t know—that shit sounds amazing, though,” sang a bit of the hook, and concluded, “That’s all you need to know.” Watch the brief interview below.
Recently, Miguel covered Drake’s “Hotline Bling” alongside Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, John Oates, Kamasi Washington, and others at the Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival. In February, he teamed with Rihanna to sing the Temptations’ “My Girl” and sang Michael Jackson’s “She’s Out of My Life” at the Grammys. The previous month, he took on David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.” His latest release, the Rogue Waves EP, is out now.
