Mike Simonetti, Ex-Italians Do It Better, Announces New Label 2MR and New Project Pale Blue

Mike Simonetti is a co-founder, along with Johnny Jewel, of the Italo disco label Italians Do It Better. (Before that, he ran Troubleman Unlimited). Now, he’s split with Italians Do It Better and started a new imprint. The new one’s called 2MR, which is short for Two Mikes Records. Who’s the other Mike? It’s Captured Tracks founder/Blank Dogs dude Mike Sniper. (Sniper’s Blank Dogs album On Two Sides was released by Troubleman back in 2008.)

2MR’s inaugural release is from Simonetti’s new project Pale Blue, a collaboration with Silver Hands’ Elizabeth Wight. Jana Hunter of Lower Dens also appears on their album The Past We Leave Behindout April 14 via 2MR/Captured Tracks. Check out the album’s title track above, and find the full tracklist below.
