Missy Elliott Celebrated at “VH1 Hip Hop Honors”: Watch

“VH1 Hip Hop Honors” came back tonight in a two-hour special titled “All Hail the Queens.” The show paid homage to “the female pioneers, trailblazers and trend-setters” in hip-hop. Missy Elliott was among those honorees. While Missy herself didn’t perform, several other artists performed her songs including Remy Ma, Trina, Nelly Furtado, Eve, Monica, Fantasia, and Tweet. Pharrell, Timbaland, and Busta Rhymes each shared messages of support. During Missy’s acceptance speech, she dedicated her award to Aaliyah.
