Moogfest 2017 Initial Lineup Announced

Moogfest has announced the first batch of artists performing and presenting at their 2017 festival. Among the acts are Wolf Eyes, Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, “Stranger Things” composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of SURVIVE, Moor Mother, Laraaji, and the Haxan Cloak. Moogfest will take place from May 18-21.

The primary focus for this year’s festival is protest. Last year, the Durham festival released a statement against North Carolina’s anti-LGBTQ legislation. In advance of the festival, Moor Mother has shared a new remix of her track “Time Float” by Philadelphia artist King Britt. Listen below. According to Moor Mother, the song “speaks about the environmental warfare that continues to plague historical African American and low income communities.”
