Morton Subotnick Documentary, Silver Apples of the Moon Reissue Announced
This year, Morton Subotnick is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his influential debut, Silver Apples of the Moon. The 84-year-old composer will be the subject of an upcoming documentary from Waveshaper Media, titled Subotnick: Portrait of an Electronic Music Pioneer. The company is currently raising funds for the film through an IndieGoGo campaign. Among the rewards are a series of reissues of Silver Apples of the Moon, including various vinyl options and a cassette edition of the album, marking its first time on the format since its initial release.
