My Morning Jacket Announce It Still Moves Reissue

My Morning Jacket will reissue their 2003 album It Still Moves this year, according to a Jim James interview with the New York TimesDue out May 27 via ATO, the new edition features fresh mixes, previously unreleased songs from the recording sessions that have been polished and completed, and demos for 10 of the songs on the album. James also revealed in the interview that he has a solo album arriving later this year, and that My Morning Jacket are also working on a new record, although that likely will not be released in 2016. 

Update (4/4, 10:43 a.m.): My Morning Jacket have further detailed their deluxe reissue of It Still Moves. Slated for release in 4xLP and 2xCD formats, the new version was remastered by Bob Ludwig (who’s previously refurbished albums by Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana, and others), and mixed by Kevin Ratterman. Altogether, it contains 13 previously-unreleased B-sides and demos. Additionally, the band have shared remixed, remastered editions of It Still Moves cuts “Magheetah” and “Golden.” Listen to them below, and check out the reissue’s full tracklisting, along with the band’s upcoming live itinerary.
