Neil Young Is Not OK With Donald Trump Using "Rockin' in the Free World"

Today, Donald Trump announced that’s he’s running for President of the United States of America. Before he gave his speech, Neil Young‘s “Rockin’ in the Free World” played. You know, the same Neil Young who wrote a song about George W. Bush called “Let’s Impeach the President” and is about to release an album about Monsanto

Obviously, Young is not OK with Trump using his music.

“Donald Trump was not authorized to use ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ in his presidential candidacy announcement,” reads a statement from Young’s representative. “Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America.”

Trump’s representatives told TMZ that they “paid for and obtained the legal right” to use the song.
