Neon Indian Shares Violent, Futuristic "Slumlord Rising" Short Film

Neon Indian, aka Alan Palomo, has shared the video for “Slumlord”, from his new album VEGA INTL. Night School, as a short film titled “Slumlord Rising”. Directed by Tim Nackashi and Palomo, the film chronicles a night at the disco that quickly dissolves into bloodshed, with a mysterious briefcase and sci-fi intrigue thrown in for good measure. Watch it below via Yours Truly and WeTransfer.

The clip is part of a new feature on Yours Truly that details the oral history of Vega INTL. Night School through interviews with 15 individuals that assisted with the album, including Palomo’s brother and roommates and members of Holy Ghost! and Midnight Magic.

Also, the Neon Indian hotline (1-512-643-VEGA) has been updated with a new message from Palomo. Anybody who calls will be sent a gif from the video.

VEGA INTL. Night School is the followup to 2011′s Era Extraña. The new record is out now via Mom and Pop/Transgressive
