New Phife Dawg Verse Appears on New Dwele Song: Listen

Dwele has shared a new song, “Wanna Dance.” It features Mike City and a new verse from the late Phife Dawg (of A Tribe Called Quest). The track will appear on both Dwele’s Same Book…New Chapter and Phife’s forthcoming posthumous LP Forever, according to Okayplayer. Listen to “Wanna Dance” below.

The new track is the second posthumous Phife release (outside of his contributions to Tribe’s excellent We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service). It follows the J Dilla-produced “Nutshell,” which came out last April. This past weekend, Tribe paid tribute to Phife during their powerful Grammys performance. Last fall, a street in Queens, New York was renamed Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor Way.
