New York City Central Park’s Great Lawn Closed After Damage From Global Citizen Festival 2023
The event featuring the Fugees and Red Hot Chili Peppers led to extensive foot traffic, which combined with rainfall and heavy equipment “destroyed” one third of the lawn. It will be closed from November to April.
