Nick Cave Compares Sick Bag Book to Kanye West, PornHub, More in Silly Promo Video

Last week, Nick Cave announced The Sick Bag Song, a book that details his 2014 North American tour with the Bad Seeds. The manuscript was originally written by hand on airplane barf bags. Cave is releasing a series of short films to accompany the book, and today, he’s shared the first one, called “Portland”.

It features Cave comparing The Sick Bag Song to Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin (“and anyone else who’s drowned in their own sick”), Kanye West, PornHub, and more. He lists off an increasingly inane series of marketing ideas, including doing a reading inside of a giant barf bag.

The video was directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard—the same team behind Cave’s 20,000 Days on Earth pseudo-documentary. Check it out below.
