Oasis Documentary Gets Title, Release Date

Last year, it was revealed that the filmmakers behind Amy—the Oscar-winning documentary about Amy Winehouse—were working on a new documentary about Oasis. Amy director Asif Kapadia is the executive producer, Amy producer James Gay Rees will produce, and Mat Whitecross is directing. The team were given “unprecedented access” to the band, including unreleased archival footage. Today, it’s been revealed that the film is called Supersonic, and it’s coming to UK theaters via Lorton Distribution in October. It’s named after their 1994 single of the same name, which appeared on Definitely Maybe. That’s the poster below.
