Oneohtrix Point Never Shares Garden of Delete MIDI Files, Announces Tour

Daniel Lopatin, aka Oneohtrix Point Never, has spent recent weeks teasing his Garden of Delete LP with a series of video teasers, as well as the track “I Bite Through It”.

Meanwhile, fans have been untangling the dense web of invented back story buried in the Kaoss Edge website (Kaoss Edge being the fictional band that supposedly inspired much of Garden of Delete). A collection of MIDI files has been uploaded to the Kaoss Edge site that comprise melodies from Garden of Delete, which his fans have been fleshing out into new songs. You can download the files here

Lopatin is asking that his fans share their work with him, so that they can be compiled into an archive. Below, check out one of those fan creations.

A press release also passed out this mysterious e-mail: ezralien666@gmail.com. That might refer to Ezra, the “alien” who Lopatain claims helped him write the album.

Additionally, OPN will begin a tour in November, where he’ll debut a new live lineup that features frequent collaborator Nate Boyce on guitar and Lopatin on vocals. Check out the dates below.
