Parquet Courts Share "Bodies" Video, Form Supergroup PCPC With PC Worship, Tour

Parquet Courts have released the music video for their Sunbathing Animal opener “Bodies”. The video was directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard—the duo behind the new Nick Cave film. It was shot at the Sugarhill Supper Club in Brooklyn on July 11.
If you‘d like to see Parquet Courts live, you might catch them on one of their upcoming tour dates. They’ve asked that they be listed as “Parkay Quarts” on some dates. (See the list of shows below.)
For other dates, including a few opening for Thurston Moore, they’re teaming with the New York band PC Worship to form the supergroup PCPC. Andrew Savage shared this statement about the project:
Like P-Funk, MinuteFlag, Ciccone Youth, Loutallica and Red House Chili Painters (bet you didn’t know about that one), PCPC is what happens when two legendary rock juggernauts join forces. In this instance, members of PC Worship and Parquet Courts have merged into a NY noise-rock confederacy, each band bringing their own sonic distinctions. Spawning from a long history of playing shows together as separate entities, PCPC is born out of an aesthetic solidarity, and will to create something new. Look for them this Fall in select cities throughout USA and Europe.
