Pitchfork and MCA Chicago Announce Talks With Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Stephin Merritt

Pitchfork and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago’s “In Sight Out” series, which covers new perspectives in music, art, and culture, will continue in 2017 with conversations with Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Stephin Merritt.

Singer-songwriter, musician, poet, performance, visual artist, and Throbbing Gristle founder Genesis Breyer P-Orridge will talk with Bandcamp editor and Pitchfork writer Jes Skolnik on January 13. Tickets are on sale now here. P-Orridge and Psychic TV released a new album called Alienist in September. 

On April 18, Pitchfork and the MCA will host a talk with Stephin Merritt, the singer/songwriter behind the Magnetic Fields, the 6ths, the Gothic Archies, and Future Bible Heroes. The Magnetic Fields will release 50 Song Memoir, a 5xLP collection featuring one song for every year Merritt has lived.

The conversations will both be released as podcasts at a later date.
