Pitchfork Wins Three Webby Awards

Pitchfork is pleased to announce that we have won three Webby Awards. We won the award for Best Branded Editorial Experience for Pitchfork + Spotify – Inside Discovery. We also won the People’s Voice in the same category, as well as the People’s Voice award in Animation for Pitchfork.tv’s “A Brief History of Goth” (directed by Joren Cull). In addition, Pitchfork was nominated for Best Individual Editorial Experience for our Cover Story “Natural Selection: How a New Age Hustler Sold the Sound of the World.” This is an unparalleled honor and a remarkable achievement. With 13,000 entries from all 50 U.S. states and over 70 countries—and 3.5 million votes cast in The Webby People’s Voice Awards—the 21st Annual Webby Awards is the biggest in their history.

In addition, Solange won the 2017 Webby for Artist of the Year. She’s been honored for “her remarkable use of the Internet as a force for promoting community and diversity.” Solange is performing at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival. Get tickets to her Sunday headlining performance here.
