PJ Harvey Notebooks Turned Into BBC Radio Drama

The BBC has announced a new Radio 4 program called “On Kosovo Field.” The five-part drama was inspired by PJ Harvey’s notebooks from her journey to Kosovo. “On Kosovo Field” was written by Fin Kennedy, and follows two Kosovan-born, Manchester-raised siblings, who return to Kosovo after they learn of a mass grave found near their native home. It stars Michelle Keegan and Nico Mirallegro, and is produced by Nadia Molinari. The program will be broadcast on Radio 4 from Monday January 9 through Friday January 13 at 10:45 a.m. GMT (with daily repeats at 7:45 p.m.).

PJ Harvey traveled to Kosovo, as well as Afghanistan and Washington D.C. with photographer/filmmaker Seamus Murphy while working on her latest album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, as well as her poetry collection, The Hollow of the Hand. The music video for “The Wheel” collates footage shot in Kosovo from 2011 to 2015.
