Prince Reportedly Hospitalized After Emergency Plane Landing

Prince has been hospitalized following an emergency airplane landing late last night, TMZ reports. He had been in Atlanta on Thursday night for a show at Fox Theatre. His private plane made an unscheduled landing around 1 a.m. at Quad City International Airport in Moline, Illinois, after which he was immediately taken to the hospital. Further details are unclear at the moment. Update (6:43 p.m.): A rep for the singer has told TMZ that Prince “has been fighting the flu for several weeks,” but still wanted to play his Atlanta show because he had been forced to cancel two performances the previous week. After the show, Prince reportedly felt worse, so the plane landed to allow him to go to the hospital. After treatment, he got back on the plane a few hours later and is now back home.
