Puff Daddy: Donald Trump is “A Friend of Mine”

Puff Daddy has said in an interview with the New York Post that he considers Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump “a friend of mine.” Puff also said that he’s a fan of Trump’s style choices, saying, “I always liked Donald’s style. I do have a tie he gifted me. I wear it.” As to whether or not he’ll be voting for Trump on November 8, Puff Daddy was less revealing: “As far as voting for him, that has yet to be seen.”

Numerous artists have come out against Donald Trump over the course of this presidential election cycle. Neil Young decried the candidate, saying, “fuck you, Donald Trump,” after Trump used his song “Rockin’ in the Free World” without permission. YG echoed the sentiment with his song “FDT (Fuck Donald Trump),” even inviting some fans on-stage to beat up a piñata effigy of the candidate during a show. In February, David Byrne penned an essay about Trump’s rise, linking it with the “end of the American dream.”
