R.E.M. Announce Out of Time Reissue

R.E.M. has announced a 25th anniversary reissue of their 1991 album Out of Time. The reissue will be released on November 18 via Concord Bicycle, and will be available in three different formats: 2-CD, 3-LP, and a deluxe 4-disc set. Each set will include a remastered version of the album along with demos of previously unreleased songs and non-album b-sides. The 4-disc deluxe version comes with an additional live recording of a 1991 show at Mountain Stage and a Blu-Ray disc that contains hi-resolution audio and 5.1 Surround Sound versions of Out of Time, all the album’s music videos, and the 1991 electronic press kit “Time Piece” (a collection of studio and performance footage and more).

The reissue will also come with liner notes by Annie Zaleski, featuring interviews with all four band members and the album’s producers Scott Litt and John Keane. You can find more details about the reissue’s tracklist and materials here.

Earlier this year, vinyl reissues of 1986’s Lifes Rich Pageant, 1987’s Dead Letter Office, and 1988’s Eponymous were released. Later this year, R.E.M.’s Mike Mills will release a recording of his first-ever classical composition.
