Radiohead, Bon Iver, Run the Jewels, More Nominated for 2017 A2IM Libera Awards
The A2IM Libera Awards have announce this year’s nominees: Radiohead, Run the Jewels, Bonobo, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard lead the field, Billboard reports. The award show is held by the American Association of Independent Music—an organization representing independent labels—and recognizes achievements in independent music. The ceremony will be held June 8 at New York City’s PlayStation Theater. Radiohead led all artists with six nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Live Act, and Video of the Year. The other three acts each scored five nominations.
Bon Iver, Run the Jewels, Angel Olsen, and Thundercat were all nominated for Album of the Year. Iggy Pop, Sampha, Perfume Genius, the xx, Mitski, ANOHNI, Sharon Van Etten, and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings also received nominations. Run the Jewels were winners last year alongside Alabama Shakes and Kamasi Washington. Nick Lowe, Ani DiFranco, Talib Kweli, Twin Peaks, and Nick Hakim will perform.
