Radiohead Respond to Istanbul Attack
Radiohead have responded to the attack on an A Moon Shaped Pool listening event in Turkey. According to Turkish news media, a group of men attacked customers at an Istanbul record shop during the event because they were angry that the event featured the drinking of alcohol during Ramadan. The band issued the below statement via their publicist:
Our hearts go out to those attacked tonight at Velvet IndieGround in Istanbul. We hope that someday we will be able to look back on such acts of violent intolerance as things of the ancient past. For now, we can only offer our fans in Istanbul our love and support.
