Rick Ross Arrested for Allegedly Pistol-Whipping, Kidnapping Worker

Rick Ross (real name: William Roberts) has been arrested in Georgia, TMZ reports. Ross has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery, owing to an incident earlier this month where he allegedly pistol-whipped a man working at one of his homes and prevented him from leaving.

The arrest was conducted by U.S. Marshals and the Fayette County sheriff’s department, and took place this morning. Ross’ bodyguard, Nadrian James, was also arrested, Variety reports.

Ross was also arrested earlier this month in Georgia, after being caught with marijuana in his car.

Update (11:53 a.m.): TMZ reports that Ross got into an argument with a groundskeeper working at his home. After interrogating him at gunpoint, Ross pistol-whipped him, breaking his jaw and injuring his neck. 

Update (1:20 p.m.)Billboard reports that Ross has been denied bail, and is currently being held in Fayette County jail. Ross’ bodyguard, James, is also being held on charges of kidnapping and aggravated battery.
