Röyksopp Share New Tracks "Sordid Affair" and “You Know I Have To Go”

Röyksopp have shared a new song called “Sordid Affair” from their forthcoming (final) album The Inevitable End (out November 11 via Cherrytree/Interscope). The song features Ryan James of Man Without Country. Listen to it below.

Röyksopp call the song “a recollection and contemplation of the emotional aspects of the endeavours as described in the track title. The difficulties of letting go of emotional attachments – even those of a questionable nature”.

Said James:

It was quite a surreal experience. I’d only spoken to Torbjorn once via Skype prior to recording and I hadn’t heard any of the music they wanted me to sing on. I felt slightly out of my depth at first. I felt privileged to be asked to collaborate with Röyksopp, and to be invited into their unique musical world.

Röyksopp also shared a track called “You Know I Have To Go” (Feat. Jamie McDermott) on their website last night, as Stereogum points out. Listen to it here.
