Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and El-P) Share New Album RTJ2 Early as Free Download

Last night, while the rest of us were freaking out about Ebola, El-P and Killer Mike did something quite generous. Their new album as Run the JewelsRTJ2isn’t due out until October 27 via Mass Appeal, but that didn’t stop the rappers from sharing the album with fans in full – and for free.

Early this morning, El-P tweeted a link to download the album, with Killer Mike following in suit:

They also sent out the link to fans via email, along with a message:

We just couldn’t wait another damn day longer to share RTJ2 with you. Thank you to all the jewel runners worldwide for all your support. It means everything to us. Please enjoy the music. It was made for you.

The surprise came after reports that the record, their follow-up to last year’s Run the Jewels, had leaked:

.@pseudo1978 we were not the original leak.
