Ryan Adams Scores Al Pacino Film, Announces Do You Laugh When You Lie? 7"

Ryan Adams will collaborate on the score for Danny Collins, an upcoming Al Pacino film, as Consequence of Sound points out (via Film Music Reporter). He’ll be working with Theodore Shapiro, his collaborator for the song “Stay Alive”, which was sung by José González and appeared on the soundtrack to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. In Danny Collins, Pacino plays an aging rock star who’s inspired to change his life after finding an old letter written to him by John Lennon. It’ll be out in 2015. 

Additionally, Adams has announced Do You Laugh When You Lie?, the latest 7″ in his PAX-Am Singles series. That’s the cover above, and it’ll be out December 9. Below, watch him play the title track during a recent performance at Toronto’s Massey Hall:
