Sampha Announces New Zine “Shy Light”
Sampha is releasing a new 32-page zine, “Shy Light,” in June. The singer collaborated with designer Grace Wales Bonner, photographers Jalan and Jibril Durimel, and art director Jamie Andrew Reid on the project. Much like the 36-minute film that accompanied his latest album, Process, Sampha created the zine as a further “visual exploration” of his work, according to a press release. “Shy Light” includes Sampha’s own personal photos and lyrics, plus photos of his family’s hometown, Freetown, Sierra Leone, by Durimel.
