Shamir Performs New Song "In For the Kill" on BBC Radio 1

Shamir recently stopped by the BBC’s studio at Maida Vale, where he did an in-studio performance for Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 show. He performed three songs: “On the Regular” (which made it to number 11 on our Best 100 Tracks of 2014 list), “I Know It’s a Good Thing” (from his Northtown EP), and a new one, “In For the Kill”. During an interview in between songs, he said that his debut record with new label XL will be out in the spring of next year. He also revealed that Mac DeMarco is the living person he’d most like to collaborate with. (Ari Up of the Slits is the not-living person he’d most like to collaborate with.)
