Sky Ferreira has been cast in Edgar Wright‘s (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Shaun of the Dead) upcoming film Baby Driver, according to TheWrap. The film, which is set for a 2017 release, is about a talented getaway driver (played by Ansel Elgort) who runs into some trouble when a robbery goes awry. Baby Driver also stars Lily James, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Kevin Spacey, and Eiza González. Ferreira confirmed the casting on her Instagram, and announced that she will be in Jessica Manafort‘s 2017 film Rosy, too. Check out her photo below.
Last year, Ferreira was cast in a crime thriller The Trust, which includes Elijah Wood and Nicolas Cage. It premieres tomorrow at South by Southwest. Also in 2015, Ferreira was in Eli Roth’s film The Green Inferno. In April, another film that Ferreira’s been in, Elvis & Nixon, hits U.S. theaters. (Her Baby Driver costar Kevin Spacey plays Richard Nixon in the film.)
In February, Ferreira offered an update on her long-awaited follow-up to her 2013 debut album Night Time, My Time. She has said that Masochism will be out this summer.
