Slint’s David Pajo has survived a suicide attempt and is currently in the hospital recovering. Last night, Pajo posted a message on his blog, which he referred to as a suicide note. According to various reports, Pajo was rescued by EMS from his New Jersey home and taken to the hospital. This morning, he posted a photo on Instagram of himself in a hospital bed. A note posted on Pajo’s official Facebook reads, “There will be things said about our friend David in the press these coming days and he’ll need our love and support. Feel free to comment here.”

Pajo is best known as the guitarist in Slint, but he’s also played with a long list of other people, including Interpol, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tortoise, StereolabZwan, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and Royal Trux. He’s released solo records under the names Pajo, Papa M, Aerial M, and M.

We have reached out to representatives for Pajo and received no response.
