Something Is Up With Kanye’s Twitter

Kanye’s Twitter account appears to be gone. Current attempts to bring up @kanyewest in a web browser brings up this message: “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!” However, TeamKanyeDaily notes (below) that different users are experiencing different results—some are seeing the account in full, others just the icon with no tweets, and for others, the account doesn’t appear to exist. Kanye’s Twitter account, in recent months, has been where he’s openly addressed the feud between Tidal and Apple, pondered whether or not he’d be sued, attempted to throw surprise late night parties in New York, and much more. Now, it’s inactive. Update (08/07 7:00 p.m. Eastern): Kanye’s Twitter account appears to have been reinstated. Pitchfork has reached out to Kanye’s representatives, as well as representatives at Twitter for comment. Update (08/07 7:23 p.m. Eastern): Twitter’s Support account has issued the below tweet as their official statement on what happened with Kanye’s account.

Some people may have briefly been unable to access certain Twitter accounts. The issue is now resolved, thanks for your patience!
