Spoon’s Britt Daniel Guests on "WTF With Marc Maron"

For his latest “WTF Podcast”, comedian Marc Maron sat down with Spoon frontman Britt Daniel. Daniel spoke on his experiences growing up in Temple, TX: a town of cowboys and metalheads where it was once risky to be a Cure fan. “It was very conservative, very reactionary,” the frontman recalls, “politically and culturally. Me and my group of friends fancied themselves new wave, and if you looked any degree new wave you were going to get harassed.” Later, the two swap breakup advice and chat about the Can song which inspired the band’s name, as well as the story of their slow, steady rise to fame.
