St. Vincent to Release Two New Songs on Record Store Day's Black Friday Event

On November 28—the day after Thanksgiving—Record Store Day will once again celebrate Black Friday with exclusive releases at independent record stores. One of those will be a 10″ featuring two new songs by St. Vincent: “Pieta” and “Sparrow”. Both tracks were recorded with John Congleton in the sessions that yielded St. Vincent.

The 10″ comes in a die-cut, foil-embossed package designed by Willo Perron. This isn’t the first time Annie Clark has shared exclusive material on Record Store Day. In 2012, she released “Krokodil” b/w “Grot”

As previously reported, Black Friday will feature releases from OutKast, Wu-Tang Clan, Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, Mastodon, and the Flaming Lips. Also keep an eye out for the Chvrches 12″ featuring the U.S. release of “Strong Hand”, the Decemberists’ 7″ featuring an exclusive B-side, the Morrissey-curated Ramones compilation, and much more.
