Stream New Releases from Dream Police, Anatomy of Habit, and Torn Hawk via Advance

Dream Police is the psychedelic side project of the Men‘s Nick Chiericozzi and Mark Perro. Four years ago, they self-released a two-song cassette, and the project remained relatively dormant until the two had time between tours with their other band. Chiericozzi and Perro are finally releasing a debut album, Hypnotized, which arrives November 10 via Sacred Bones.

From now until Hypnotized‘s release date, Dream Police’s record will be streaming in full via Pitchfork Advance, our online streaming platform designed to emulate the album listening experience. Listen here until November 10.

Anatomy of Habit are a heavy Chicago band fronted by noise icon Mark Solotroff (of  Bloodyminded) and featuring current and former members of Tortoise, Wolves in the Throne Room, Joan of Arc, Indian, and more. Following the release of 2013’s self-titled LP, the band have returned with Ciphers + Axioms. The record was recorded with Sanford Parker at Soma Studios in Chicago and is slated for release on November 10 via Relapse. Listen in full here until November 10.

As Torn Hawk, Luke Wyatt creates dark, lo-fi instrumentals with a warped, cinematic sound. On the heels of this year’s Through Force of Will, he’s back with another full-length, Let’s Cry and Do Pushups at the Same Time, which arrives November 10 via Mexican Summer. Its eight tracks utilize everything from drum machines to what a press release describes as “acid-washed samples.” Read our feature on Torn Hawk, and listen here until November 10.

Pitchfork Advance showcases an interactive listening environment featuring pre-release albums streams with dynamic graphics and a host of tools that allows fans to engage with album art, lyrics, credits, track listings, artist info, and more while they listen.
