yMusic are six classical musicians: Rob Moose, CJ Camerieri, Clarice Jensen, Alex Sopp, Hideaki Aomori, and Nadia Sirota. They have collaborated with Björk, Bon Iver, David Byrne, Antony and the Johnsons, Dirty Projectors, and many others. Their new album Balance Problems is out September 30 through New Amsterdam. It features new compositions from Sufjan Stevens, Nico Muhly, and more. The album was produced by Son Lux, and follows 2011′s Beautiful Mechanical

Portland doom outfit Witch Mountain return with Mobile of Angels, the follow-up to 2012′s Cauldron of the Wild. It’s their last album featuring vocalist Uta Plotkin, who is leaving the band. Experience the album here via Advance until September 30, upon which it will be released via Profound Lore

Feel Something is the newest album from London’s the History of Apple Pie. Like its predecessor, last year’s Out of View, the album was produced by the band’s Jerome Watson, with additional engineering from Joshua Third of the Horrors and Charles Reeves. The LP is slated for release September 29 in the UK and September 30 in the U.S. via Marshall Teller, but you can stream it here until September 30.
