Sufjan Stevens Playing Show With Beirut, Mouse on Mars, Oneida Members

Sufjan Stevens will perform a special concert with Jan St. Werner (Mouse On Mars), Kid Millions (Oneida, Man Forever) and Benjamin Lanz (Beirut, the National) in Brooklyn for a series called DISRUPT, according to Brooklyn Vegan. The show takes place February 18. The four musicians have all previously played together, but never as a group. “This quartet, along with some special guests, will enjoy improvised moments of togetherness, communicating devices, turning knobs, mashing buttons, stomping boxes and dragging horns around a skyscrapered room,” the event posting says. Find out more information about DISRUPT here.

DISRUPT will be a running series at National Sawdust in Brooklyn. The series is about “artist and audience taking risk, causing reactions, triggering emotion, and finding the present together.” This is the first show of the series.
