Suge Knight Charged With Murder

Los Angeles County district attorney Jackie Lacey has charged Suge Knight with murder following the hit and run death of Terry Carter, Billboard reports. The former Death Row Records CEO could face life in state prison if convicted.

Knight is charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, and two counts of hit and run. He’s being held without bail and is scheduled for an arraignment tomorrow at the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Compton.

On Thursday, following an altercation on the set of a promotional shoot for Straight Outta Compton (the forthcoming biopic about N.W.A.), Knight allegedly ran over two men—Carter and Cle “Bone” Sloane. Sloane reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Division is actively investigating the case.
