Suspects Arrested Over Manchester Concert Bombing Released Without Charge

After police identified that Salman Abedi was the suicide bomber responsible for the attack at Ariana Grande’s concert at Manchester Arena, they began investigating whether or not he was part of a wider network. Greater Manchester Police arrested 22 people in connection to the attack, and today, released a statement revealing that all suspects have now been released without charge, the Associated Press reports. Terrorism suspects cannot be held by police for more than 14 days without being charged or released. Police acknowledged that they’re still unsure whether or not Abedi had accomplices in the attack. Russ Jackson, the head of counterterrorism policing for northwest England, promised that police would continue to “relentlessly pursue” the terrorism investigation.

Today, police also released new images of Abedi walking through the streets of Manchester with a blue briefcase. They’re appealing to the public for information relating to the white Nissan Micra he was using to store and transport bomb components. Find the police’s statements, including the images of Abedi, below.
