Basilica SoundScape is an annual event that takes place in Hudson, New York at Basilica Hudson, a 19th century factory on the Hudson waterfront run by Melissa Auf der Maur and Tony Stone. For the past three years, Auf der Maur and Stone have collaborated with Pitchfork Managing Editor Brandon Stosuy and Brian DeRan of Leg Up to program the weekend getaway, which features music, visual art, and literature. It’s been dubbed an “anti-festival” for its small-scale, carefully curated approach.

Today, Pitchfork.tv presents an interactive documentary about the festival that lets the viewer choose the order in which they watch the performances.  The documentary, which is co-directed by Jim Larson and William Colby, includes footage of the surrounding Hudson Valley to give the viewer the full experience of this unique festival.

The interactive doc features performances by Swans, Deafheaven, Tim Hecker, Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry, White Lung, Emily Reo, Guardian Alien, Gamelan Dharma Swara, Michael Chapman, and Endless Boogie, along with readings by Perfect Pussy’s Meredith Graves and Swans’ Thor Harris.
