Swizz Beatz and Scarface Tackle Police Violence in “Sad News”: Listen

Following the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile by police officers earlier this week, Swizz Beatz and Scarface have released a new song. It’s called “Sad News;” listen to it below. Scarface makes reference to presidential candidate Donald Trump and the Ku Klux Klan during his verse.

In the wake of the shootings, Beyoncé issued a statement urging her fans to take political action, and conducted a moment of silence for those victimized by police brutality during her show in Glasgow, Scotland. Following Sterling’s death, Drake wrote an open letter calling for “open and honest dialogue.”
