Taylor Swift Secretly Co-Wrote Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For"

When Calvin Harris released his new song with Rihanna, “This Is What You Came For,” the credits revealed a mysterious songwriter named Nils Sjoberg. It turns out that it was just a pseudonym for Taylor Swift, her representatives have confirmed to Rolling Stone. Harris has also confirmed that “she sings on a little bit of it too” in a series of tweets. He clarified, “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.” TMZ had originally reported that the two agreed that acknowledging the collaboration as a couple “would overshadow the song;” the two have since broken up. The report also indicated that their relationship was fractured “because he disrespected her when the song was released.” That suggestion upset Harris, who went on to criticize Swift and her team on Twitter for making him “look bad.”

Prior to the song’s release, Swift wore a jacket with the single artwork on the back. In a previous interview with Ryan Seacrest, Harris claimed that he and Swift never spoke about working together and that he couldn’t “see it happening.”
