Terrace Martin Announces Group With Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, More

Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and frequent Kendrick Lamar collaborator Terrace Martin has announced a new collaborative group of musicians and producers. The new group is called the Pollyseeds. The contributors include Robert GlasperKamasi Washington, and singer Rose Gold, among others. The band have also announced their debut album, The Sounds of Crenshaw Vol. 1, which is out July 14 via Ropeadope. Robert Glasper said of the band in a press release, “To honestly express yourself at a high level while paying homage, yet being current and innovating the times… is the Pollyseeds.” Rose Gold added, “The band is about progression. Never becoming comfortable. Always growing. And always pushing the envelope.”
